These days His Grace Bishop Macarie Drăgoi of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Northern Europe was on a pastoral visit to the Romanians in northern Denmark. On this occasion, the hierarch had performed many services in the churches of the Romanian parishes in Esbjerg, Horsens and Herning-Ikast, as well as at the Romanian Orthodox Monastery “The Holy Hermits Macarios the Roman and John Jacob from Neamt” in the Jutland Peninsula. On Sunday, June 2, 2019, the hierarch held the Holy Liturgy in the parish church of Herning Ikast, and baptized the infant Teodora, the first child of a young family from the community.
Being together with the young people and young people of the “St. Stephen the Great of Moldova” Youth Center (CTSM), His Grace Macarie offered the young medals with the image of St. Stephen the Great, urging them: “Keep your youth! For by keeping it, you will always have it renewed by the Holy Spirit working in the Church, and if you lose it, scattering it with pleasures, silver or power, you will also lose your soul! By understanding this, I pray you young people to get rid of the poisonous currents of this world that can crawl you in the pit of letdowns and failures. Return with determination to Christ Who is Life itself!”, said the Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Northern Europe.
