His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel sent a message of condolences to the bereaved families of victims of the explosion that rocked a chemical factory Thursday in the Czech Republic. The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry has confirmed that five Romanian workers have died in the explosion at the chemical plant in the Czech Republic.
Patriarch Daniel’s message of condolences:
With much sorrow we have learned that five Romanian workers passed away unexpectedly following an explosion at the chemical plant in Kralupy nad Vltavou, Czech Republic.
In these difficult moments of suffering and sorrow for the families, colleagues, and all those who have met them, we convey paternal words of spiritual comfort and we entrust you with all our compassion.
We pray to our Saviour Jesus Christ, Who conquered death, to rest with the righteous the souls of those who passed away to the Lord, where sickness and sorrow are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting, and to strengthen the bereaved in the hope of the universal resurrection and of the Most Holy Trinity’s merciful love.
May their memory be eternal from generation to generation!
With paternal condolences and blessings for the grieving families,
†Daniel
Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
