The Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Northern Europe continues and develops the social project initiated in collaboration with the Romanian Orthodox Parish of the Valley of Vinyard from the Archdiocese of Sibiu, which aims to financially support the poor children in the deprived area Copsa Mica.

Along with the monthly scholarships offered so far and in view of the nearness of summer holidays, at the initiative of the His Grace Bishop Macarie Drăgoi of the Diocese of Northern Europe, it was decided the gathering of financial aid for the purchase of bicycles for each of the 100 poor beneficiaries. The thought was born after the charitable action “Pedaling for Life”, where Father Bishop Macarie and his faithful attended in May in Göteborg, Sweden, which is numbered among the social and cultural projects of the Diocese of the Scandinavian countries, dedicated to the fulfillment of 100 years since the formation of the Great Union.
