According to the ordinance, the Divine Gospel of the Resurrection in several languages was read in the ministry.
On Monday, April 29, 2019, His Grace Bishop Macarie of Northern Europe was in the midst of the Romanians in the parish of “Holy Great Martyr George” in Stockholm. On this occasion, Father Bishop Macarie, together with the parish priest Toader Doroftei and Archdeacon Sorin Sipalcan, celebrated the Holy Liturgy in the parish church. During the ministry, the little children received communion with the Holy Mysteries, after which they received more gifts from the hierarch. Father Bishop Macarie congratulated all those who bear the name of Holy Great Martyr George. After the service, all attendees participated in the Easter Passion organized on the occasion of the feast.
On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, His Eminence Bishop Macarie of Northern Europe was among the Romanians in Uppsala, Sweden. On this occasion, the hierarch held the Divine Liturgy and the Sacrament of the Holy Baptism for Andrew-Nectarius, the third child in the family of the parish priest Dan-Virgil Pacurar and his wife Elena-Cătălina. In his word of teaching, His Grace Macarie referred to the evangelical pericope of the Emaus dinner (Luke 24: 13-32) read at the Divine Liturgy, saying that the Crucified and Risen Christ traveled mysteriously and now the Resurrection with pilgrims who have come from Stockholm to Uppsala (a town near the Swedish capital) knowing Christ at the breaking of the bread, that is, at the Holy Liturgy in the Emmaus of the Church. “Receiving Communion in the Emmaus of the Church with Christ, we feel like the disciples, how our heart burns in us! The burning of the heart for Christ is what it takes to gain the better part of the joy of the Resurrection,” the hierarch said.
